Ben has two siblings: an older sister by four years, and a younger brother by one year. Samantha is a neurosurgeon at Boston Medical and is married to Henry Price. They have no children at the moment.

David, the younger brother, is a professor of Ancient History at Boston College, and is unmarried.

Ben knows how to cook. Not gourmet by any means, but he took classes because he was tired of getting take out all the time.

When he was younger, Ben played on the golf team for his private school, and also played rugby. On the weekends, he still gets together with some friends to play a pick-up rugby game. He is also a fan of hockey.
